isn't it neat how that works?

I remember seeing my first rat rod (not saying this truck is a rat) at a car show in about '96. It got WAAAY more attention than anything else there and some of those fools with quarter million dollar cars couldn't understand why

That's totally true. When I had my 1978 Bug Convertible (sold it this summer after seven years), I can't tell you the amount of attention that thing got. Everyone from teenage girls to elderly men to gang bangers (really) would stop to talk to me or wave and smile at that thing. Parked it next to a $100k plus Benz and nobody gave the Mercedes a second look, but they'd swarm around the old Bug.
