It's a long shot, but I'm thinking of attending my first MotoGP in person at the COTA.
http://circuitoftheamericas.com/moto-gp According to the various calendars, it's April 19-21 (race on Apr 21). Tickets seem reasonable -- $89 for general admission, up to $159 for reserved seating in the turn 15-19 complex. ![]() Anyone else thinking of going? I'd be coming from NYC, so prolly flying in and staying in a hotel. (I'd ride, and make a vacation out of it, but it's VERY doubtful that family and work will permit it.) Any interest?

Already bought my general admission tickets and motorcycle parking tickets. just hope the local businesses (hotels and campgrounds) don't try and hold us up the way they did for the F1.

Yeah! My bride and I will be at the races. It is only a 130 mile trip down there and we are looking forward to it.

I'm in. I think GA is the best deal. That said I have reserved seats at the top of Turn 15.

Do we have any idea if M/Cs get any preference as far as parking and riding into the track?
I'm thinking of riding down from Oklahoma, I have some relatives in the area that will let me overnight free. My experience with these type events is that parking is a big problem. . |

When you buy your ticket, you can buy parking also. There are separate MC lots that are cheaper than cage lots.

The track had a "deal" where you could spend thousands of dollars to reserve seats and get first dibs on tickets for all races. I imagine the front grandstands were all bought up. I think they have until the end of December to purchase the Moto GP tickets otherwise they get put up for sale. If you want grandstand then I'd say check back in a month. |

Reserved a hotel the day the race was announced. Have not bought tickets yet as my employment situation is a little up in the air and not 100% sure where I will be living. Hell, I could be living in Austin by then.

Thinking about riding out for this...are there paddock passes available for MotoGP races? I've never been to one...
