I don't want to be Achilles' heel. Ah f it i'm in - you guys can tag it an bag it if I off the 530. (Note to self - rope, pain killers and whiskey. All of which is hopefully unnecessary) Wild Bill Kelso screwed with this post 11-27-2012 at 11:06 PM |

Encouraging /sarc
I've read Yardstick's and HTM's RR from last year. More signs of encouragement from those Ride Reports: Looks like the coke ovens on 15% more grade ![]() The dreaded stop/start (my inseam will love this business) ![]() The camera always makes those inclines appear less than they are. Not so here! ![]() One of those deceptively mild-looking hills (at least the way the pixels see it) ![]() Things that make you go "hmmmmm...." ![]() Can't say I wasn't warned I suppose. Don't worry you guys can just claim NO knowledge of me and I will spend 3 to 4K on a SpotMe 2 rescue. I've always wondered what the RED button does.

Cheaper to leave your bike and have Roger haul you out...having Roger is a major blessing.

I don't know Uncle Tom, That "hill" was the longest, nastiest, rockiest, most unforgiving thing I ever tried to climb!!
![]() You better be on the gas the whole way! Don't stop!!! Whoose-my-daddy had to ride my bike a quarter of the way up last time. I was whooped.... and needing O2 badly!! You guy's have fun with this, and make sure to take plenty-o-pictures for us skeerdy-kats!

Bike prepped, bag packed. I believe we're going to have two RAZR chase vehicles.

Bashed my clutch cover yesterday going through rocks enough to deform it and now have what sounds like a clearance problem behind clutch cover when actuating the clutch lever handle. Sounds like it's grinding on the case when the clutch lever is used. Even sounds like it might be grazing the cover with no-lever gear shifts. (Anyone ever experienced this?)
It's Rekluse and shifts fine without the lever (other than some slight sounds even then). I want to get that clutch cover replaced prior to this ride - we shall see (no I'm not scared!) |

I did mine last year. In my case I removed the small cover, gently bumped it with a hammer back out, retorqued & loctited the clutch cover screws & put the cover back on. No worries since. Get it fixed

The country is about to go over the "fiscal cliff" and I am going on the "dark side" for the Rug Road ride. Going to put on hand guards and the MT 43 before the end of the week.
