That's pretty clever, Silke! I've figured out lots of unorthodox fixes to various problems over the years - but I would never think of that on my own.

it runs again!!! and after putting out a small fire in the airbox

(note to husband: easy on the magic juice

) I finally was able to do a little test ride in the neighborhood:

no ride report (even if it's just a short ride) is complete w/o a few old houses and barns

up the Grapevine

and down the Grapevine

they even "fixed it up" for the winter

in case you ever wondered what to do with the old Satellite Dish (I love the idea)

that's for Banjo - I raise your two barns and give you three

and the one just down the road form us in progress of being stripped down

the light was def not in my favor.... I need to take some more pics before it's totally stripped

just a short ride... but enough to make me smile

fyi,, wayehutta =Roy A Taylor ohv park (sylva) ,,est 30 miles of trails,,, that should close next week the 15th dec...

so any folks want to meet next Sun-9th and or Monday-10th,, to sling some dirt!!!
any off-road vechical ALLOWED,,if not tagged =must be hauled in...
just need $5 and a helment, to ride all day..........

will just meet in main parking lot of wayehutta about 10-12am,, to ride till dark or till you get tired....

we can go eat after wards,,if ya want too...

anyone in/able ?????

If you recall we had a discussion a while ago about lithium mx batteries. I bought a Ballistic 8 cell for my F650gs thumper and was loving all that weight savings up top. Well... I rode out west to do the Continental Divide last summer and the first time I got into the washboard it failed. Story here.
The other day, I finally remembered to tell Balistic that I had a problem, and they are sending me a new one, no questions asked. Actually pretty cool.
Question now is... do I try it again?

Personally, I'm sticking with the NON-exploding type batteries.

Of course, the weight savings is a huge plus if you have to push your bike home.
