Get well soon Ellen, if you guys need anything let me know, I know others have offered but I will have "time" after today.

Keep on going Eh!Did not expect any less from you guys.

A beach and a large bottle of liquor, that's what I'd do, sometimes alcohol induced thinking is good for you. Cheer up and lets see some more of that Kiwi ingenuity.
Hey guys, I'm gutted to hear about Ellen's spill, but thank goodness she is OK. Pierre summed up the kiwi spirit, and I'm sure you will continue and complete your personal journey.
My apologies for not chiming in earlier, but we have been on annual leave - one week is all Tracey would allow us, but, it was under a palm tree in Fiji
Now back to the story...

Chucked my F800 in to bushed and dirt yesterdays at about 50 MPH Wet roads, going too fast and not being 100% focused. Got things straightened today and think it is going to be fine. I was sure I bent the front forks but nothing shaking a 50 so good for now. Off to Anitgua in a day or two for a week. Let me know when you catch up to me.

First round of beer on me to swap crash stories!! Ellen's more spectacular looking for sure!!!
Damn man any crash is no good and considered career limiting, will catch up along the way when we are sorted.

Lucky you were ok too mate .... don't do it again!!

Ellen will get a good opportunity to convalesce without the pressure to ride so prob not such a bad thing saying hasta la vista to Chiwi.
Sorry we didn't jump to the Trumpy side mate but Maya was sitting there with the right gear.

Yeap say bye bye to Chiwi ..... mixed emotions.

I've switched to a single exhaust which allows room for a bag on the opposite side. Great bike!! Good luck to you both. Should you 'mates happend to pass through Virginia, I'll buy ya'll dinner and show you some cool places to ride.
Cheers mate, hopefully made a right choice, think we have.

Bit of time to re shuffle then we will eb into it again.

Yeah it will be ok, long wheelbase on gravel, nice suspenders etc ... should be good.

As Jeremy Clarkson said "It doesn't matter what you do as long as you look cool while you are doing it", we won't be fast but hopefully make points on the coul aspect

Back to the US today to deal with Chiwi and Hobbit and organise getting Maya.

Sorry to anyone we have not replied directly to, I have lost it a bit.

This week although fun buying a fancy new steed has been some real torment, can't get the vision of Ellen and Chiwi going flying in my mirror then out of sight , had a few hours sleep the whole week.

Got two days to sit back in the truck while we head back to the US and get sorted.

Many thanks for all the well wishes and props, we are very lucky to have you guys come on our trip and support us when things don't quite go to plan, emotionally I feel like a chick this week...have cried a bit, just not in front of the camera.

So onwards and upwards from here, things will be a little quiet for a while, will bounce back two weeks to Mazatlan and get that report done anyway, so we won't see you till next time

Love the new scoot! I reckon you are getting everything set up in Phoenix? If you happen to find yourself in San Diego for some reason, I'll be around there until the end of the week so if you need anything, or a place to stay, shoot me PM.

I agree and they dont exactly extend the life of the bike or the kit attached to it either!

Actually a Ural side was next on the list an the Yamal was the one paddle and all.

If reliability was one of their stronger features we would be on one.

Instead we will have to put up with Maya
