REV'IT! Sample Sale @ Union Garage

Don't want to hijack but thought this would be relevant to this thread:

REV'IT! sample sale is happening next weekend - 12/8/12, 10AM to 4PM

Killer deals on closeout gear and warranty-return items. Sizes and availability limited, but free coffee and bagels just for showing up. Early bird gets the worm.

Do you think that makes it more dangerous for you (and everyone) the next time? I've often thought that in the past when I escalated a situation...

Also, how do you go about assessing the value of a mirror. If someone cuts you off, it's the same annoyingness if they're in a Pinto or a Mercedes SLS. The mirrors have very different costs. I would hate to borrow someone's car, accidentally cut someone off, and return the car with only one mirror!

Well if you don't pay attention to what you're doing and jeopardize my life, consider yourself getting off easy.

Should be covered by liability insurance as property damage. Same as if the motorcycle crashed into a front yard.

But you really need to give more details...for entertainment. Please.

Edit: Nevermind...hadn't watched the video yet.

I work at a body shop so I can asses the values pretty well. Best thing to do is if you borrow a friends car, use the mirrors to check if there is a motorcycle next to you.

Just read something interesting on the ECEA forum, from someone who has the insight and is in a position of knowing
"That would not happen in the BIg Apple, The NYPD would use that footage to find the players and shut them down. We have taken over 800 dirt bikes off the street in the pass year."
When you think about the dirtbike problem in NYC versus Philly and Baltimore I think he is correct. Of course 800 is only a beginning but the more of them they get rid of the better it is for us

Modern power mirrors can be fun. You can pry the mirror out and not hurt anything. But it takes quite a whack to actually knock the assembly off the car.

Tire sidewalls on the other hand offer very little resistance to pointy objects.
