Is there a decent BMW shop around Seattle, WA?
Hello PNW members,
Moving soon back to the left coast. Have been reading through the threads and it seems that Seattle area BMW dealers/shops do not have favorable reviews. Can somebody recommend any? I would say, within 50-60 mi from the city.Pros/Cons greatly appreciated. Ride safely. |

Yes, they are owned by the same person, but both have their unique experiences. They are both super friendly and super helpful. I can only imagine that whiners on the internet are there because they are never satisfied with anything. People are more prone to whine on the internet than praise anyway. People are treated in kind, so if you are a douche.....well, there ya go. I've bought 5 bikes from them and have most of my services done. They put on great events throughout the year like, bike swap, gear swap, vendor's fairs, speaking events and other presentations. 1/2 the reason I ride BMW is because of the way they treat me,

Thank you!
Thank you, guys for the quick replays.
Appreciate the feedback. It puts my mind at ease and I'm 1/2x happier to move. Maybe we'll meet soon and ride some. Ride safe.

I have nothing but praise for Ride West. Great service, often will choose going in and buying parts directly over web surfing for the cheapest deal.

I have dealt with South Sound BMW. They have been very fair with me. Wayne (salesman) had a really good deal and told my dad about it since he knew I was looking. I ended up buying my F800GS from him used at the garage sale they do a few times a year. Wayne also hooked me up with a used jacket and a freshly refurbished heated gerbings jacket for a great deal. I was in the shop again looking for a bike for my fiance and ended up with a 2012 F650GS. He gave us a fair deal on it and was really good about introducing the bike to my girl. Showed her all the important features and a few tips. Also hooked me up with a good deal as a "finders reward" type of deal. I have not had to order many parts yet, but BMWs seem to run a bit more expensive than the typical japanese machine, but I feel it has been worth it.
I highly recommend South Sound and its staff. |

Really? REALLY? I'd like to see links to those threads. Because mostly all I see are posts about how great South Sound and RideWest are. Which is my expereince too. I've done business at both places. Bought a bike from Wayne at South Sound--great salesman! And their Service Department has saved my ass a bunch of times. The Parts guys have saved me headaches too. Never had a bad experience.
