Custom Scramblers

Come on you guys, I am wanting to do the same "tracker/scrambler" bike... Keep this thread alive,,, any new pics???

hain't hardly "custom" but I been hav'n fun with my son's XS650, with plans for Vermont back roads in the spring....

started out like this:




went to this on the frame:



and using an old DT tank with something like this:







Took her out for a run up and down the street with a funnel-ful of gas.... seems promising so far....

Not a scrambler as is more of an 'adventure' style

Towing - a bit light for that sized trailer
Ugly but it works

Adventure in my front yard!

plays in water well

doesn't like soft spots though

long distance outback touring delight

likes sand [with the right tyres on!]

done the 'Bridle Track'

even done a couple of Enduro rides

hunter, That is awesome. I am looking at doing the same. Just a cc larger bike... I wish I fit better on a smaller bike...

And, sure, of course it's the 12 Monkeys logo, but the idea of the bike having been built by 12 monkeys with hammers and wrenches... well, I think the bikes I've got fit that sort of cut-rate "infinite monkeys producing Shakespeare" theme. I mean, it's not Shakespeare, but there's only so much you can accomplish with 12 monkeys...

I 've never understood why all the modern dualsports bikes should have a bird's beak and have to look like woody woodpecker . I love so much more the old scrambler look. But I also love the power and the torque of my 2003 BMW 1150GS, so I choosed for the best of both worlds.
