Power Budget for 09' 990R
I am organising my Farkle plan for MY 990 and would like to ask for some advice please. I live in the tropics, so there is no need for electric hand warmers, vests, underwear, or espresso dispensers.
Beyond engine needs, how much power do I have to operate aux. lights? I am interested in a Baja Design 8" LED bar that draws 42 watts under power. Thanks for your input. |

The stock output is about 400 watts, no doubt that's at 7000 rpm. So, plan on 300 watts for normal riding.
Stock headlight is 55/60 watts, tail 3, brake 10, fuel pump maybe 30, ignition maybe 30, so total is about 130 steady. So, you have at least 170 watts available.

Thanks so much for this. Very helpful for an electrically handicapped rider like me.
May God reign down peace in your house. |
