How are you going to unload the bikes with the trailer there anyway? (bigger bikes)
Jackknife the combo like this...

He just needs to address the trailer jack so he can fully lower the tailgate.

To the OP, can you carry the bikes without the tailgate on?

Tail gate too long...

Get a stinger extension...

verify your tounge weight and head the warnings and be sure to get the solid one, mine was around $80-$90.

Works great for my RV and my truck.

I used one with my last RV to get my bike carrier past the spare tire.

Be careful how you load your trailer, though-- that added leverage can bring out any tendency in the trailer to sway, and then magnify it.

Just had my first weekend of camping in the new TT and I had forgotten how much fun and how relaxing sitting around a camp fire can be. Good times this past weekend

$80-90, creates a lot of leverage against tow vehicle. This is probably fine for a bike hitch clearing the spare tire though.

$20 and 10 minutes to install.

That style jack was already mentioned and responded to. Look at my picture again and tell where you would mount it?

Don't forget to keep those jack threads lubed if you're going to do that....it builds a lot of heat if they're not. I usually sprayed on a light coat of white lithium grease every other trip or so.

Yes and yes

If order to remove the arms you have to jack up the trailer (with the jack) and then swing the arms straight out so the jack can't mount outside of the arms :-(

Not a trailer but the Ford Transit Connect qualifies as small and light. I bring my bike to track days with one, and also bring a sleeping pad, heater, coffee maker, lamp and cooler. Works great.
