Snotcicle Ride 2013- Steel Horses for Real Horses
Winter is here, despite the weather.
![]() That means it is time to start planning the 4th Annual Snotcicle Charity Ride: Steel Horses for Real Horses The date has been confirmed: Saturday January 19, 2013. Ride benefits Angel Horse Rescue and terminates in Inola, OK. Mark your calendars. ![]() Where: As we have done in the past, we'll meet at Angel Horse Rescue at 1pm for a lunch. (Bring some ca$h to cover your lunch) There may be pony rides for any kids that attend. This is DEFINITELY a family-friendly event. 35399 South 4210 Road Inola, OK 74036 Google MAP If necessary, contact Tamie 918-607-5983 Why?: Basically this is an alternative to the lame kroozer Toy Run and other charity rides. This one benefits www.angelhorserescue.org in Inola, OK, and is a dual sport ride. But... we've had ALL types of bikes and riders participate and this is thouroughly encouraged. Tulsa Sportbike Riders have participated each year and we hope they continue to join us. How: We'll take a fun and scenic ride before (and potentially after) we convene at AHR in Inola. A core group of riders will meet for breakfast in Tulsa (EDIT: Tally's Cafe, 9am) and depart from there. Other groups of riders could do similar in Stillwater, OKC, NWA, or elsewhere. ![]() Rules: 1. No matter the weather, we ride 2. Carry your donations (items for the horses and/or cash) 2a. Try to get some donations or items from friends and family. Involve them if possible. 3. Have a fun ride before and after Prevous years were very fun and successful. Thoughtful inmates and families have donated THOUSANDS of $ worth of supplies plus cash donations to AHR. Here is the list of needed supplies which can be found at Atwoods, Southern Agriculture, Tractor Supply, etc. WORMERS: Paste Ivermectin (several brands - any are fine) Fenbendazole (Safeguard-very mild, good for incoming horses in poor physical condition) Combos (Equimax, Zimecterin Gold) Daily Pellets Strongid C 2X Continuex Equi Aid CW Continuous Wormer BUCKETS: 8 quart 20 quart MEDICATIONS / FIRST AID SUPPLIES: Vet wrap / bandaging tape Gauze rolls, pads, sponges - all sizes Granulex-V spray Wound sprays, ointments, salves, etc. Antiseptics (Chlorhexidine, Betadine, Providone Iodine, etc) SUPPLEMENTS: MSM (joints/arthritis & skin issues) ProBios (paste or powder, or any digestive supplement) Any hoof supplements, joint supplements, vitamin supplements MISC. ITEMS: Fly sprays Stall wood shavings (may be too bulky) Brushes, grooming supplies Halters in any size Lead ropes Hay bags Large feed pans and, last but not least (to the horses) - TREATS Or... you can always bring a cash or check donation. See the AHR website for more info about this deserving cause. If you can't make it to the ride, but you'd still like to contribute, you can make a donation to Angel Horse Rescue by clicking the DONATE button below. If you have an opportunity to add a comment, type ADV so they will know it's from our group. Thanks from all of us. DONATE TO AHR BY CLICKING HERE ![]() Hope to see you there.

We've been the last two years on our streetbikes. Looking forward to it.
One of these days I've got to find a way to get a dual-sport.

BUMP!!!
AHR needs our help more than ever this year. "Currently, Angel Horse Rescue is at full capacity. Due to the combination of drought (our grazing pastures have dried up), the skyrocketing grain prices, hay shortage, worsening economy, etc. we can no longer afford to accept any additional horses at this time and must utilize our resources to continue providing ongoing care and rehabilitation for the rescue horses that we have already committed to in our care." Time to start planning, people. Let's hear some commitments. ![]() If you can't make it, please seriously consider making a donation to AHR by clicking HERE.
