oh I just watched that video above, did any one notice how may rules of after a crash that guy broke? i may have missed a few but first thing he did was try to get up, then he rolled over the he sat up then he pulled his helmet off. and again it looked like he was going way faster then the speed limit.

he's lucky, that big bike could have crushed him on that flip.

oh sorry for my ranting, I'm drugged up with meds right now. the doc gave me a purity massive dose to try to get my ear well after nothing improving over the last week. my heart rate is up over 100 beats a minute head hurts and i'm burning up. but if it fixes my ear it's worth it.

It has been mentioned but no solid plans nor route leader has stepped forward yet...

BW's has been looking for a route leader. He kept trying to pawn it off on me, but I can't commit to any firm plans right now.

I may be joining in on this ride but I don't get new years eve off unless I take it off which I prolly won't.

I need a good MS ride. Might even be warm this year

It was surprisingly warm and humid on the ride in this morning. Glad I left my liner out of my jacket!

Yes I am loving the warm weather. I am actually trying to decide right now if I want to ride to Atlanta on the Tenere Saturday to hand deliver my GSXR forks to Thermosman Suspension. Maybe camp out up in the mountains saturday night. Then take the long way back home Sunday. Ups wants $60 bucks to ship the forks ground. I am more concerned about loss or damage than the actual money. This time of year the shipping workers get over worked and sloppy. Replacement cost on the forks is $2800. plus the long fight to actually get it.

Tenere is due a back tire which I have a new one just got to slap it on. Pack light and burn up I-20E for about 6 hours then the fun begins. With this weird Dec weather right now in the south this is doable.

NYD Route Options

  1. The Meridian Route we've done the past couple of years
  2. Trophy's D2C route. We'll just have to cut it off around H'burg and plan a route home.
  3. MHC Trail to Winona
  4. Big Black Route
  5. BNF Route
  6. Lorman Route
  7. Levee Route
  8. Piece something new together
  9. Other options??????????????

I think the first question is, who is planning on riding NYD?

I am in as of right now. Just need to know one thing, Tenere or DR. Anything remotely sandy or muddy it's the DR. All other I can manage on the Tenere.
