Vibration

Dont forget to add some rubber/silicon along the edges, the vibration and the sound of metal on metal might make you miss hearing other important noises along the way.

Mikl,
5 years ago I rode across Russia from Vladavostok to Latvia and then through Europe. You can see my KTM in the pictures. I had good luck and only one failure in Mongolia(a head gasket).

I met many Russian people and motorcyclists.

Who can not love the ISH.

I think you will grease the wheel bearings, steering head bearings and swing arm bolt and put on a new chain and sprockets.

I used this chain oiler.

http://www.pro-oiler.net/

I made it around the world on one chain but I needed two countershaft sprockets. Maybe you will take an extra countershaft sprocket with you.

Keep having fun!!!!

Hello Brother! i'm back to report you about moving ahead!
The time is accelerating again and again..No rush but it's my feeling the time around me when i stopped and had meditative and analysis conditions..

So will going to look some work..

on the week before i install sight tube..
Installed new wheel bearings , seals
installed front end with BRP submount

i order 22mm dust seal and take off full speedo mechanism ...

My good old friend turned for me new collars

cleaned the frame

BRP submount and front end

install hot grips with koso adjuster and scott grips

HDB handguards

My Xr have another master cylinder i think it's from TDM or other..so for install HDB switch holder i relocate one hole and taped it.

At this week i was busy following

Installing new bearings not OEM but i think better than old)

Next it was fixing some issue like swingarm linkage frictions..
I try to fix it by very slim cromy stainless steel plate about 0.25 mm
Also i bought new linkage in nice condition on ebay, my one was eaten.

all was greased..

After i had a chance to install KTM fan with therm switch..
i wanted to make it simple but was made it difficult))) cut old brackets from body and made new from alu plate and weld on.

For switch i was find good solution at this forum. i used trail tech adapter.

i was find the time for tank bracket! Thanks and big respect Hodakaguy for idea and work on it! I used this solution and build same from stainless steel metal..

bushings and washers was made from poliuretan

Installing new hi performance thermostat ordered from xr's only
and silicone hoses kit

THANKS FOR LOOKING! To be continued...
