YES!! very nice!! I have one just like it. In fact, I would be interested in "riding" the Mexican 1000 too. I really know nothing about it, but sounds like fun!! Gear wise, I'm all set up, but I do have a few things to do on the bike before such an adventure....

Very cool! I would be interested in seeing your current pipe set up. I'm going to take my stock pipes off so to keep them nice and go with a single pipe to save weight.

I'd like to get it further up out ofthe way, maybe another 5* angle or so. One problem I have with it that's more pressing is that it's too close to the footpeg, so my heal ends up resting on the muffler when the ball of my foot is on the peg. I'll ride for a while before i notice my foot feels like it's on fire!


Also, STREGA. I saw your post a while ago about the footpegs you got from ZipTy racing. Did you come up with a solution to the width issue? I measured my pegs and noticed they're 1.5" as well and I need something bigger. Those zip ty extensions for $85 are awesome, but only if they fit!

To anyone familiar with these bikes, aside from changing all the fluids are there problem areas that need to be addressed before riding too extensively? Obviously, it's an awesome bike so I couldn't help myself:


It's really pretty until you realize most of that haze is smog. But hey, at least it's sunny!

Looks like i will have some 1998 620 Rally Adventure parts coming up for sale soon. Wanted to give the 620-aholics first heads up. If no action I'll post them in Flea Market in a couple of weeks

need a little help from everyone..Awhile ago, I picked up a EGS-E , unfortunately it had spent some time oustide... I went to try and clean it up, but life intervened.. See this for the orig posts

Anyway, thanks to some help (especially JT Motorsports in frederick MD) It's alive.... It runs



It's had the old ST pipes replaced with EU set I got off here, amongst some other stuff..

Anyway, the spokes are being being redone, which is about the last item but for one thing....

The Tripmaster speedo has failed... The lights come on for the options, but the display is dead.... I need to find a source for a replacement or to fix the one I have... help

TT used to do an exchange for a refurbished one, but I think that ended several years ago. Mine stopped recording new miles, but after replacing the primary battery it seems to be functioning find. I think your first step is to take it apart and see if you can find a mfg part# on the screen itself. Or take it to an electronics guru and see what they can work up.

There's a long history of problems with the stock tripmaster display, from y research it seems most people have just converted to a trail tech dash as it fits well in the tripmaster spot.
