Hi Joe,

Nice to see you on ADVrider! I've followed your travels for a few years now and seen two of the Dia-shows. I was even at your house with Walter Colebatch last December to drop off a DVD when we picked up our bikes from Husaberg, but we missed each other!

Looking forward to this trip and seeing how the 1190 does. Is the route going to be very different than your 2004 (?) Africa trip? I want to ride to Cape Town next year so I might have to ask you for some advice when you are back if that's ok.

By the way Joe Pichler, and anyone else who doesn't speak German but wants to read his website, Google will translate the website for you.

The route is different in many parts.
Like South Sudan, east coast of lake turkana, Mosambique and of course Madagascar.

You can ask me when I'm back in Salzburg, no problem.
