Hi Joe,
Nice to see you on ADVrider! I've followed your travels for a few years now and seen two of the Dia-shows. I was even at your house with Walter Colebatch last December to drop off a DVD when we picked up our bikes from Husaberg, but we missed each other! Looking forward to this trip and seeing how the 1190 does. Is the route going to be very different than your 2004 (?) Africa trip? I want to ride to Cape Town next year so I might have to ask you for some advice when you are back if that's ok. ![]() Liebe Grüße, Lukas

By the way Joe Pichler, and anyone else who doesn't speak German but wants to read his website, Google will translate the website for you.
Just go to Google translate (http://translate.google.com/) Then copy and paste the url of his website (http://www.josef-pichler.at/) into the box on the left side of the screen. Google will automatically detect the language of the website and a link to the translated version will appear on the box on the right side of the screen. You now have an English (or whatever language you chose) version of Joe's website. http://translate.google.com/translat....at%2F&act=url Only Joe can tell us how accurate the translation is, but the English reads well, so I would assume it is at least pretty darn accurate. Cheers! |

On the road again, and of course as often as possible on that tracks, where there aren’t many cars around.

The route is different in many parts.
Like South Sudan, east coast of lake turkana, Mosambique and of course Madagascar. You can ask me when I'm back in Salzburg, no problem. Joe Quote:

Joe, since you are now clearly on the road, with red mud on the tires, how about some early first impressions of the 1190R?
