Death Valley DAZE 2013 - Page 5

I only have about 175 miles on my tank, so I was thinking of trucking to Scotty's Castle and riding this as a loop.
Reduces it down to about 150 miles. I'd love to be able to ride the entire thing, but I think trucking is the only way we can get all the way around.

Can we park and unload at Scotty's Castle?

That's not a bad idea, depending what bike or route I bring that could be a possibility. IIRC it's about 54 miles from furnace creek to Scotty's. there's also I great campground up there and a large parking lot for Scotty's. Used to be gas up there way back in ot 3!

Thats why I never do it.
No reason to click off miles just to say I did.
Rather do the Bikini Loop and wait for the sun to set to do the Ditch the Cops Titus Speedway Run.

Hear that exit from Titus can be a doozy. Empty gas tanks replenished with beer cans, No headlights. Rob lying dead on the side of the road. Very nasty. Memories of Rob pole dancing 'cause he's hotter than the only chick there. Very nasty.

i never do the Big Loop to say i did it. it's a blast of a loop. the terrain changes in every section. the hot springs are exactly half way. perfect time for a soak. and Steel Pass is my favorite and Eureka Dunes are beautiful.

I sure hope so. Sounds like such special people to be with. Without all that tricky riding we can just concentrate on trouble. Just dancing.

I've been out of the dirt for quite awhile but a DV trip may be just what I need to get back into the swing of things. Gotta get the ol' XR650L runnin' again. Do some warm up rides. Hmmmm...
