Happy trails rack question
I'm looking at buying a happy trails rack for my 08 650 Vstrom. The current owner said the only hardware missing is the long bolts that attach to the passenger peg assembly. Are those bolts something that would be easy to find in a good hardware store? Also does the happy trails side racks interfere with a givi top case plate?

Not sure about the givi rack, but the long bolts for the footpeg attachment should be easy to find.

Here are the racks, can anyone confirm that these are happy trails racks. They don't look like what I found on the website.

I've found Happy Trails to be very responsive to questions regarding their racks if emailed directly.
I had a similar question about what I suspected were Happy Trails racks and they got back to me within a day. They will be able to tell you if they're their racks and if they are an older version they will be able to answer questions regarding them as well. |

If they're HT racks, they're definitely a few generations old, don't look much like those on my Vee. Based on that top bar, they might interfere with the Givi top plate, but I'd guess they won't.

Give HT a call they look a bit different from the HT boxes I have seen and have. Everything looks a bit rougher and maybe older?

They're completely different than the happy trails SU rack on my 08 Wee. Maybe they're the first version?

I've got an email into happy trails. Hopefully I'll find out soon enough.
