Hi guys,

My new Varadero was imported from the UK and came with a mile per hour dash which I replaced for a KM one. So the original is for sale.

Same goes for the original side cases (white) incl the rack. My alu Hebco & Beckers are back on the bike, but the bike came including the original side cases.

There is also an original Hebco & Becker pannier rack for sale. For use for any Varadero from 1998 till 2006, for all Hebco & Becker side cases.

O That’s a spacer between the frame and the engine

. Did you dismounted the Crash Bars.
They are right behind the frame where the Crash Bars are mounted to the frame.( Lets say where your knees are when you ride)

Has anyone installed a SW Moto Tec skid plate on a Varadero that has Givi crash bars. I am hoping they will work together. Thanks

Use them with the SW Motec crahsbars - they are far more solid than the Givi ones - and sell the Givi bars on Ebay...

My buddy Mike (Lake Monster) has agreed to build me a proper skid plate for the Varadero, if Ican get 6 other ADV riders to comittt. $300 and these things are a work of art!!!! who' in, Big Bruce

... for which model are those skid plates... 2003-2006 or newer?

The skid plates would be for the newer Varaderos, 2008-2010. They might be the same for all years but he would use my 2008 bike to build the original. I purchased one of Lake Monster's plates for my KTM Super Enduro. You can see lots of pictures here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...monster&page=6

I am interested in a skidplate for my '11 Dero - but I would like to have a look at the finished model mounted on a Varadero before I want to make the purchase definitive...

Is that a possibility?
I think, you should promote it on the DeroBay section at www.varadero-international.com as well.

... no unfortunately they are NOT the same!
2003-2006 models have different mounting for skid plate than newer models.
