My speedo is broken. My odometer will read the same in April as it does today whether I ride or not. No matter, though; a few years ago I made a point of riding all winter, i.e., I rode at least once in every month. I even got in a couple of pretty decent rides, but even so I'd bet the total milage was less than 200.

Even in a nice year, riding in the winter isn't all that much fun after the novelty wears off or the sun goes down.

My meaning was that I don't winterize my bikes. I may not ride them all that much in the winter, but they're ready to go. I think a heated garage is part of that.

I change the oil and put fuel stabiliser in. That's about the extent of it. All my bikes are on battery tenders all the time they are in the garage anyway. The KLR is the only bike I'm prepared to let out on the salty roads, so the others stay put for the duration. And I don't often take the KLR out either. And since it needs new tyres, it's not likely to come out until spring. But if one of those rare, not too freezing ass cold days comes along, I might take it out. Maybe.

My nice neighbour just came and plowed my drive for me. My little snow plow is just for clean up, but still - it needs to actually be working in order to do that.
