r1100gs clutch cable free play adjustment?
How do I do this? what do I measure?
everything works fine, but my son rode the bike and commented on how far "out" the lever is before clutch engagement, so now im realizing he was right. the lever is nearly fully released before the clutch is grabbing solid. info is much appreciated.

Hello there, the important point is to have a clearance between the clutch actuating arm and the pushrod, hopefully here's a picture showing correct measurements and procedure. You can get by without using the special BMW tools, bit fiddly but can be done! You'll need a deep 13mm socket to undo locknut and a 10mm spanner to adjust.

that is helpful thank you!
I did not realize it involved getting to the rear of the transmission though, yikes.
