Bolivia- Anyone riding Salar in next weeks or so?

I am in Bolivia, Riding the death road, then Coroico and Yungas before heading to Sucre and Uyuni .

Anyone else around that want to ride the Salar together?

If you're heading down through Uyuni, be sure to do the Lagunas route. Definitely one of the high points (literally and figuratively) of south america for me. It's pretty sandy though so look out. Might wanna find a buddy for that part. Very remote and beautiful though.

Some getting-psyched material:

Ah, not to worry. Do you have any good hints or tips? We're keen to get hold of some waypoints or GPS coordinates before hitting the flats. It seems a little crazy just to hit the flats without any of those. How did you manage to navigate?

Cheers,

Pete.

Mark the location of your entry point. Aside from that maybe get coordinates for the "islands" out in the middle. That's really all you need. If conditions are good and traffic is light try riding with your eyes closed for a while. Quite a strange feeling.

The main tracks to Incahuasi are visible from the buses running out there. Pescado is about 20 miles from Inchuasi and you can see it from Pescado iirc.
