Hey Uncle Jimmy,how have you been ? This is Jeff.I met you at the Founders Feast at Iron horse a few years ago.My friend and I were on the big BMW's.
How do you like your new 250?
I am now riding a green 2008 KLR like yours.
Maybe I will see you next year at a MTF event.Hopefully at the Founders Feast in OHIO.

Hello Jeff....I looked for you and your buddy. At Founders Feast this year in New Castle IN... Hope to see you somewhere on the MTF rides,,,,,,I really like the little bike,,,it fits me and I have about 2000 plus miles on it already,,,,the people in the RIDER magazine. Called it the MOUNTAIN GOAT,,,,it's hits the road (secondary). Well and does good on single track.....It is not an interstate bike, but will do 70. Mph easily. Great bike for me,,
MTF has three Rough Road Rides,,,junction Tex. Silverton CO. And Bryson City NC,,,,,,,,I am taking the CRF. 250',,, you need to bring the KLR and let's go to some riding .....do you still have the GS? Uncle jimmy:

No, I sold the Gs.I am going to just ride the KLR now.
I don't know if I can make any of the RRR this year but I will try to make the FF in Ohio.

Unrelated to where I rode today, but found it when looking at today's pics and liked it.


This was from a few weeks ago on TrophySon's 1st overnight ride.

Met up with some other inmates for breakfast, then 3 of us, BW and DQ, took the long way to the Kickstand to tell Jim (aka Hikertrash) good luck at his new job since it was his last day at the Kickstand.

DQ and BW had places to be after that and I was needing some helmet time, so I headed southwest. Rode the Trace, OPG rd, then headed north to Vicksburg. Got the camera out in V-burg to take pics of the low river.








Then headed through town


Then headed to some of my favorite roads in the area. Oak Ridge, Russellville, Link, Cox Ferry, etc...

Was a good day. Almost 400 miles, a lot of dirt, and a nice sideswipe by a SUV. Just a little bump when a woman decided she needed my lane (Spillway rd) more than I did. Think it scared her more than me. She seemed to be crying and freaking out as I shook my finger at her after she bumped me then slammed on the brakes. She was kinda cute though.

Glad you're in one piece. Every time I come to Jackson it takes me a while to adjust to the drivers
