A GS would be better two-up, and better in the dirt. The K75 really isn't suited for some of the places I'll be going - some of the dirt roads in Mexico (and AZ) can be pretty rough and I like to get off the beaten path some. Besides, its just too nice of an old bike to be riding dirt roads on - I can't even bring myself to take it down a dirt road around here. In fact, if I'm out exploring back roads on it and they turn to dirt, I turn around. I won't even consider taking it out of the garage if there's the slightest chance of rain because I don't want it to get wet or dirty. I'd really like to find a very mechanically sound, but maybe not cosmetically perfect older GS with under 50k miles that my wife and I can bang around on in Mexico.

Totally understand. It's one of the reasons I own the bikes I do. If I can keep the running, I never REALLY worry about dropping them (gently) and don't even consider the where I'm going to be asking them to take me - short of which bike would be best for the given route.

Good luck! I'm sure there are bikes out there looking for a new home.
