If coolant stops flowing for some reason (water pump failure, contaminants, etc.) your top end could be 250 degrees F and your coolant wouldn't necessarily show it. On a side note, you can also tap into the stock tach wires so you don't have to use the supplied TT tach wires.

Is that where it is on the '08s? I was under the impression that the temp sensor was in the radiator, but I might be missing something.

Can't go out and look, bike is at work right now (take home truck when I'm on-call)

I tried to make the inside smoother.

I used Tee nuts inside my side cases and in the top box. In the side cases I use a pin spanner to turn the stainless Tee nuts themselves on stainless carriage bolts (with stainless fender washers and black RTV). In the top case the tee nuts are sealed into the interior paint and I use allen bolts going up from the bottom.

Pic of a side case here. (The top box is far simpler inside.)

I just wanted to mention an alternative.
Looks strong.

Specify, precise...

That?

Geographical location (Lat+Long).

Town Highway name.
State, etc.

Or...the cases are mounted 13" back from the leading edge of....

Just being a jerk, but not maliciously. If that's possible.

Hey amigo that is a cool pic (all of them)!! is that an aftermarket oil filter?? or is GEN 2 come with a different set up for the oil filter? I am asking because it looks (to me) like it is out of place to I was thinking after market filter.

I am just south of you in Ensenada and you are welcome to come and play!

That low fender gives it a way cool look. Best looking newer KLR I've seen.

Looks good. I'd consider blacking out that master cylinder and the other bright hardware.

Yo Damasovi!
As far as I know that's where the oil filter is supposed to be !
I don't think they changed it at all over the years, maybe just looks a bit our of place in the photos...
