North Carolina to California
This is a bit last minute, but I've got a about 11 days off from work and am planning to do cross country Starting in Raleigh, NC and ending in San Diego, Ca. I wanted to put it out there to see if anyone was up for joining for all or part of the trip. My “planned” itinerary is below. I've kept the daily miles short so I could enjoy some of the attractions / sites on the way (Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, Roswell, etc..)
As for myself, I’m pretty easy going and get along with most everyone. I’ve done a NY to California (about 10k miles roundtrip) a few years ago. I ride smart / responsibly. Picking up an 2005 R1150 GSA is pain (especially with fully loaded cases).

Subscribing, so keep up posted. I did my undergrad work at UT so give Knoxville a hug for me as you ride through! And if you have the chance, a picture of your bike in front of Neyland stadium should be kick ass.

I am doing a several week ride starting sometime in January, heading west leaving from Tenn. I plan to stay south as much as possible, visiting Big Bend in Texas, NM , AZ, CA Coast. Considering Baja instead of going north that time of the year. Camping as much as possible. That is the plan so far. It will unfold as I go. Weather controls a lot of this. Good luck on your ride.

Yeah I am hoping to see some sights as along the way. Last time I ran in to some interesting people too; sometimes the destinations make the journey too

I'm also planning to leave Charlotte sometime in January. Although I had no destination in mind, anywhere but across the south seems too chilly to camp.
