Hard to know what to call this adventure since none of it was planned.

This was a nice find and would be worth another trip when the weather is warmer and without the fog.

A beach or seafood themed campout down that way may be promising before it gets too hot. I may even ride Stella if they don't lock me up before then

By his own admission, he seems to do that a lot. We stopped at a gas station and he looks at me and says, "I think I forgot my wallet." after a little pause "...yep I forgot my wallet. Not to worry, I keep a spare."

A buddy and I left the DC area at 8:30AM headed for WV. We rode out 66 then jumped on 55 in Haymarket. Shortly thereafter in the Planes, we traded bikes. I like these new Scramblers and they are fun.

Took a break here

For this

We rode 55 past Devil's Backbone then hung a left on Turkey Ridge Rd which dumped us out toward Cedar Creek Rd.

The view from Zepp Rd looking out at Signal Knob at the north end of the Massanutten Ridge

Stopped in at TwoHawks's cabin to say hi

We rode up FR92 toward Wolf Gap. Saw lots of hunters and dogs out.

FR252 (I think!) 38.886323,-78.755132

We hit the dead end at 252 then turned around and rode Judge Rye Rd to the top of the ridge to WV

We explored down Cove Run Rd to 259 then picked up some fuel in Mathias. It was 2PM and I was heading south for Charlottesville and he had to run back to DC before nightfall.

We parted ways and I snapped a few more shots on my travels.

Blue Hole, Bergton , VA

Headed south on 259 near the VA/WV state line

I made a pitstop at Sharp Shopper in Hburg, drove through JMU marvelling at the changes since I was there last and then made my way out 33E toward Swiftrun Gap.

Massannuten Peaked Mountain was illuminated with the last rays of the sunset

Had a great time in Cville with FOXedupONE then only snapped one shot on my return to NOVA on a wet cool Sunday morning. Been on those roads many times...
