I'm in for a non dirt bound adventure for New Year's Day. Looks like there were more then a few street bikes at the last one.

I'd like to do the 2009 ride from VA Beach, take the Currituck Ferry (Skip the painfully slow ride to the Duck Lighthouse) and have a festive lunch at the Jolly Roger in Kitty Hawk. They got pounded pretty good out there and I'd like to show our support. Open to other ideas as well - just throwing that out to start a discussion.

TKLR -- you 'da man, we've been bouncing around who, what, and where, and Bam, you've got the plan!

Make it happen and I'll be there.

BlackKrau... Did PO have the Dakar professionally painted that OD green or did he do it really well himself? I'm really digging that color, think I may try it myself here shortly.

I am sorry about butting in here but I do not know where to turn. I would like to pay someone to sent me a case of Tuppers Hop Pocket Ale as I can not get it in Ga anymore. Can someone please help?

I think the owner did it himself, but did a good job. Although if you see the bike in person, there are many imperfections and other defects. Not necessarily from the job itself, but from use.

Honestly, I could care less about it though. Doesn't affect the performance or the size of my shit-eatin' grin when I ride.

I do want to find a large Dakar logo to place on the tank. Problem is, finding one I like, that looks like a high-quality permanent decal. I'd like one about 12"+ (giggity) that would wrap across the tank, but can't seem to find one above 4".

Seeing as we had such a nice turnout last year, I figured there is a chance we could take over the place...so I called ahead to check on the Jolly Roger and let them know we will be headed thier way. They were thankfully spared from major damage, operating and will be happy to have us visit. They did requested a headcount a couple of days in advance. I'll track the Roll Call - and there's room for Maybe-ers as well, family meeting us there in the cage are welcome too.
