Anyone have experience with this problem:
My 1974 R75/6 wirh the /5 switch gear on handle bars the starter button is loose - 2 set screws that hold it on are tight. Starter button works fine but if you touch it it wiggles around. I have had the bike for 5 years and just noticing this is there a way to tighten it up??

If you remove the two small screws and gently pull out the switch.
(Helps if you feed the wire harness into the side of the switch.) There's a large flat head screw under the switch. This connects the housing for the 2 small screws to the whole mount. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks - I will do that fix. Just didn't know what I would find in there.

And be careful you don't tighten it too much- it is a very short thread into cast alu and can strip easy (DAMHIK). Locktite is probably a good idea.

Sounds like my headlight switch on the other side. It wouldnt get tight or would loosen up. I put some silicon in there and gently tightened it up. Has stayed in place for 4 months now just fine. I like the idea of loctite, just make sure not to get the permanent kind!
