Was too cold and muddy to do much today. I've only been riding a month so spent most of the day working on my balance. Was able to do a static balance and hold it for several minutes. Was even able to do it without hands!

I have been working on my static balance and getting more consistent, but haven't attempted without hands. Didn't even think about doing that, guess I have something else to add to my list of things to figure out... |

Finished the job!
I broke the back half of my front fender off about 3-4 weeks ago.
My beautiful candy apple red fender was snapped in 2 when my size 14's won the battle. So Sunday I finished the job by snapping off the front half of the fender. Now it looks kinda like a flat tracker. ![]() |

My 05 Beta's plastic was brittle. I went through two fronts and then put a Montesa fender on. Somehow I managed to keep my rear fender going with lots of zip tie stiching. I hope the new ones are better.

I put an aftermarket one on my 04' and it is amazing, I've had all kinds of branches and such jammed in between the wheel and the fender and no problems. Even had the front of the fender completely folded over to one side and it sprang right back into place after. ...... unfortunately I don't know what brand it is.....

I just got a nice generic fender from Tryals Shop. Anyone know an easy way to get it mounted straight? Any tips or tricks will be appreciated. I would like to have it look like it was done before happy hour and not after.

You should be able to line it up with the bracket before you drill the holes and get it nice and straight. Then have happy hour....

Don't drill oversize holes, that just makes slop that will keep the fender from lining up. Just big enough for the bolts and no more. Don't bolt the fender on if the forks are twisted up. Straighten the forks first. Don't drill holes through the tire. |

That sounds like the plan. The fender is actually riveted on.....but there is just enough clearance I could use some short bolts with locknuts. Hopefully I don't get it too crooked.
