Finally!
Hey guys, after reading nearly every post on the 950 & 990 Adv's in Orange Crush for the last 4yrs, I finally picked-up an '07 990. My friend has had a 950 for about 2 - 3yrs and can't say enough about it. I'd been looking for a change from my '87 Paso 750 and I am not disappointed!
I've had the bike for 2 wks now and finally got around to flushing, filling and properly burping the cooling system. Changed the oil and found the oil filter collapsed and the dreaded leaking WP seal (to be changed next month), discovered stock fuel tanks can stretch and a few cross-threaded bolts, but otherwise it's a pure blast to ride. Anyway, I feel very lucky to have found Adventure Rider & Orange Crush, the regulars here are a fantastic bunch, and I thank all of you for your contributions: The service walk-throughs, tips and pics made it feel like I'd had the bike apart a hundred times before I even bought it! ![]() Hoping to ride with some of you soon! Chris

Which end of the bay are you? I'm up in Petaluma, so if you're ever up this way, let me know. That, or if you ever want to do a tech day, I'm always looking for someone to wrench with, to keep me from screwing something up.

Will do. I need to get some 'mild' rides in to get my dirt-legs. I'm in the East Bay. Any trails or rideable properties up your way?

New bike/ Old beauty
I miss my old Paso, there are probably pieces of it still laying along the side of the road down there along the dirty 130 (Mt. Hamilton) where I laid her to rest, then rode out in a helicopter.
Both nice bikes.
