Did you recently over oil the air filter?

It was run out of fuel and switched to reserve for the first time since I have owned it. I assume that there was some crud hanging out in the bottom of the tank that got sucked into the reserve tube since it's lower. We also added fuel from a questionable source. We pulled the carb on the side of the road and blew the junk out of it, I'm just guessing there is another hunk of crud or spot of water in there someplace.

As of right now, I'm 50/50 for riding on Thursday. I have some stuff to do, so if you guys are doing Swingset's route, I can catch up with you since it;s on my side of the state.

Wow... slow day here!

Meef and Matt... still interested in riding tomorrow? I don't have a route... but I'll throw something together. Danville is directly between us, so we can use that standard meeting spot. I'll just link the smallest roads I can find together, from there towards Cambridge. Then we'll just play it by ear.

Is 10 to early with the cold? Should we shoot for rolling out of the lot around 11am?

Kickstand up from Danville at the BP, 11:00, see ya there.

Anyone here use ting for cel phone / data service?

ting.com

I'm kind of tempted... I've been out of contract with Verizon for like 7 years and ting would save me a lot on cel service, in fact it looks like for $40 or so a month I could cover my current uses of text, calls, and an adequate amount of data.

Curious if it's as good as the online reviews say it is.

No, but I'm looking as well. My bill is up 50% since alltel was bought out by Verizon. Did you see this article?

I had not seen that, interesting. I was thinking pretty hard on Straight Talk, $45 a mo, but I read a lot of reviews of horrid customer service with difficulty porting over your existing number.

I still may consider Straight Talk but I like Ting's approach; customer service where you call and a human (in Canada) answers; no holding, no automated system, no wait time.

One thing with all carriers that contract for service, is that you're not getting the normal tier communication or speeds...Straight Talk uses Verizon's network, so does Page Plus, but it's not the same "grade" as you'd get straight through Verizon. There's a reason it's cheaper....usually at the cost of lower data throughput and loss of roaming.

I am on Virgin/Sprint and I love the $35 a month with no contract, but it comes at the cost of less coverage and slightly slower speeds....but I'm not a power user and 95% of where I go I have signal.

If I could keep what I have now speed and service wise and cut my bill,I'd sign for it right now. There's no reason a phone needs to be over $20/month for just talk.

Inspiration for Tim

You still working on that CX SCMT?

Looks pretty cool aside from the blue fork legs...
