How does a 2-3 hour wait when you arrive sound?

Went down today with a buddy to pick up a couple of orders, ended up leaving the UPS store empty handed, buying a tank full of gas and some automotive stuff at Wally World.

Customs agent said it was like that all weekend....

Never happened to me. Usually 10 to 20 minutes.

Just about first left off the bridge. Not as fancy as the UPS store, but I've never waited more than a couple of minutes.

Shee-it. What time did you get there? By the end of the week I will have five packages down there that I will have to retrieve, as well as some tires to change at Latham Auto. I was looking to go next Tuesday.

Yup, early mornings the best bet. They open at 07:30 M-F, so maybe arrive at 07:00. . . .

The Corporate Center isn't fancy at all, but it sure is convenient. And cheaper than the UPS store.

Standing in line now. Got here at 7:38 am this morning so I've been here 3 hrs and probably have another 1.5 hours to go. The operations here are a real shit show. They serve about 6-8 people an hour because they can't find any packages they're looking for. A combination of not staffing up for the holiday season and getting deluged with packages.

AT&T is loving it - I've already burnt thru $40 in roaming fees!

This is their busy season. It dies down again in January. Corporate center is only open during the week but is never busy.

Wow! 2 border crossings, half day plus in queue, big cellphone bills, and gasoline for your vehicle. I hope whatever you picked up was bought at a huge savings?

Since it is only a day trip, do you pay HST when you cross into Canada?

Jon, it depends on what you have, I would say 90% of the time if Im between $200 to $300 I dont get sent in to pay tax, also depends on the border guys mood that day. If you have more than one case of beer( $19 for a case of cans @ duty free) you will likely pay tax. I dont grocery shop over there but lots do and they can get away with even higher numbers usually.

Im glad I dont have to go through what these guys are, you,d have to question the value of it, bad time of year I guess. I have a set of DR fenders and some gifts being delivered next week to my package place in Mich., I,ll have to time it right. That remminds me, I need to go over for gas too!
