That is just blaspheme shiny ! ! ! Its making me cringe The SE has dignity as a dirt skirting hooligan , cans would be demeaning . scanning brain for an analogy Like putting a carpenters tool belt on a pornstar Like putting a Tu-Tu on a soldier Like putting a trailer hitch on a Maserati Besides they will break your leg. Cant do it You should just get some Wolfman Expeditions

![]() As we are two up on this to South America we will need the space... more than the wolfmans can offer (bike comes with them too) Then I have a hooligan bike I can ship home post our trip, so now that we have that out of the way .... ..... no SE's will be hurt or maimed during this procedure

Umm there is one major flaw you are not considering.
The subframe on the SE is not designed for carrying that kind of load, take a search for sub-frame breakage in the forum. You will see what I mean. If you compare it to the one on the adventure the difference is pretty obvious. And since your already talking bout riding two up.

It is a major pain but on my 990 I had a second hoop Tig Welded along the bottom of the subframe and boxed in the struts along each side to increase overall rigidity. Maybe do something like that to yours for added strength.

The issues with SE subframe failures are well documented. You WILL have problems if you put fully loaded jesse bags and a passenger on your bike without doing some subframe enhancements. Dont mean to rain on the parade, just trying to save you some troubles.
I had my subframe reinforced here in Phoenix by Fodrill Motorsports. They do high-end, off road race car fabrication mostly, but they can help you out with this. Very capable bunch of guys with an awesome shop full bad-ass toys and tools.... Here are a couple of pics of my SE subframe failure and the reinforcement job done to the new subframe prior to installation. http:// ![]() http:// ![]() http:// ![]() http://

Depending on when and how long they need it, the guys at Jesse are welcome to measure mine. It is riding season here ya know.

Actually our luggage weighs less than a 1/3 of a passenger including our seats, food and water so you are quite wrong weight wise. We will be lightening up regardless but unfounded blatant shots in the dark don't help eh.
