Whats the best deal you guys know of? My Brother is ready to pull the trigger on a 990.West Coast preferred
I bought a new 990 R a few weeks ago. I paid $12,999 {tax, title and freight not included). Then added new exhaust, skid plate, handlebar risers, tank bag, panniers etc. for another $3+k. Im spending my money before the govt. gets it:fyyff
I heard a few people have tried to convince you of this for a few years.......youre just hard of hearing.
Train very bad never again, after the last time its hard to get on it. three days drunk with that rocking oh man I feel sick thinking about it. but ride home sounds good hmmmmm thinking about
Tell Big Nasty to put off picking up the bike until next Friday. Throw him on the back of your bike and haul down here while the weather turns nice. Bring your camping gear in your Giant Loop. Have Big Nasty pick up his new bike and PM me. Let's inaugurate Big Nasty on this ride: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=814182 Then both of you ride home with big cheesy grins...
I am just seeing this now that I am home with this sweet ride. But I think its best if I learn how to ride this thing before I try to keep up with you all out of wine but lots of beer If you come up to napa some time hit me up. Bert
Hey Bert, You'd have no problem riding the trail up to Mt. Santiago Peak. It's a long ridge back jeep trail with spectacular views. It's perfect for the intermediate rider, the challenge being the duration of the ride, not so much the terrain. The 2 mile lookout peak section at the end of the trail is more for "looks" in my ride report... nothing I'd recommend other then in a 4x4 or small enduro. And of course there are other alternative routes in varying degrees of difficulty depending on rider preference. This trip is one of the best short turnaround Adventure rides anywhere and is perfect for a 9xx. You and your brother would love it. It's certainly worthy of a long holiday weekend breakin ride. And there's beer too.
thanks. so far I have 80 miles on it. I have been on the goat roads around San Jose so far on the street it tracks so good. I would like to get some crash bars for the tank and make a skid plate. before i learn to ride this beast in the dirt.
I would love to and in time I will rip it up but for now I am just trying to be cool till I get some miles on it.
