So we're not heading out today.

So if anyone else was planning on meeting us, send me a pm and give me a good verbal lashing for my ill planning
I was licking my wounds after a Gentleman named Jack kicked my ass! I bet Tim won't invite that dude over again for a while...

We had a great ride in the Cohuttas today, even if it was a little foggy at times. Thanks to everyone for coming. We had a blast.

I think my nooby neighbor is hooked. He did great for his first time. I was kinda worried he'd bust his ass early and wouldn't want to come back, but by the end of the day I could hardly keep up with him.

What happened to ya Dirt Dragon? I became a little worried when you didn't show up after you said you were coming.

Thanks Twisty for setting it up. It is rare when I am riding the smallest bike in the bunch! But you couldn't slow down those big bikes today!

I will holler at you when I get a smaller bike and you can teach me some skillz!

sorry guys I got pulled into a conference call early this morning as I was getting packed up to head out. I couldn't manage to get free until afternoon. I ran out there on the off chance I might stumble across you guys but that was a long shot. I did rode the trails from just north of Cohutta to Jacks River and took a side trip as far up an ORV trail as I dared by myself. It got dark on me just as I reached Jacks river and turned toward 411. In the dark I came face to face with an escapee horse in the middle of the road. Parked my bike on the road and managed to get him back to his pasture as the owner showed up to thank me. That horse appearing out of the darkness was FREAKY!

Another thing that was wild was I had a bat literally fly right over my front fender for several miles at dusk apparently using my light for hunting insects I guess.

I really hate I missed you guys. I kept hoping I would get free to catch you guys and the next thing I knew it was 9:30 and I was still on the call.

I hope you guys did have a great ride... the temp was amazing still even this evening!

This was taken about 11:45 at the game check station, just before Doulos and Andre showed up. We were wondering where you were.

Twas a little soupy on the other side of the mountain.

Hey, nice to meet you Chattanooga guys. Enjoyed riding with the group. I am sure we'll cross paths again.

After ya'll split, I headed home solo...trying to beat our dinner guests to the house. For some reason (second guessing my GPS!) rather than going straight across the river to 64, I wandered back up the mountain and then down to Copper Hill via some unnamed forest road and Grassy Creek Road. That was a nice little curvy stretch of forest road there, but I kept thinking "nobody will find me if I bust my tail out here" so I took it nice and easy. Probably shouldn't have left the group afterall...

Anyway, Cohuttas are a great place to ride. Lots more to see there I am sure.
