Pawnee National Grasslands OHV area
Me and a friend took a day off from work yesterday and towed the bikes 2-1/2 hours from Parker to the Pawnee National Grasslands OHV park. This was a really fun place to play. Like a 2-mile long 100yd wide skateboard park for bikes and ATV's. We were the only ones there. Don't think it would be much fun on a crowded weekend. Took some pics, but mostly in the boring spots. Were too busy having fun going up and down the steeper hills and gullies to pull out the cameras. We played for 4 hours and never got bored
Did not see a lot of info here in our regional forum Here are some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's an OK place, have been there a couple times. I'm not much of a playground kinda guy, so I get bored after 30 minutes... or start doing stupid stuff and scare myself! Agreed... it's only fun when empty!

Looks like fun. Great pix. Is it really only 100 yrd wide? PMI is much larger, but questionable as to legality. I think maybe next week, weather permitting, a trip to Penrose maybe in order. I have to go to Canon City anyway. They drank all my wine on Thankisgiving, so I need to get some more for Christmas. So since I need to go anyway, I will load the DRZ up and and play for a few hours at Penrose.

I need/want to go to Penrose sometime soon. Last time we were cut short by a flat tire on my friends son's bike. Didn't have any 17" tubes with us. Next week I am in Georgia

I'm heading up there tomorrow around 10 or 11 to get some seat time on a new to me bike and do some carb tuning, etc if anyone is itching to ride in zig zags and semi-circles!

Was nice out there yesterday and the new bike is awesome!
Not too crowded at all, not a single atv, and I got to see NYPUM in action! Dave was out there with 10 or 15 kids. Was great to see them out!
