DR650 exhaust

looks like the right dimms, but the flange is a three holer; the GSXR midpipe Jesse sells are 4 hole, although he is making one for the Busa which is a three hole. I wouldn't think that the GSXR and Busa midpipes are interchangeable as there is a slight difference in length.

On another note, talked to Jesse a few days ago; he said that he has devised a method to utilize the left Busa can, which should free up some of the supply,,, give him a shout, tell him Bret sent ya.

He had the can for me and I bought everything else from him including the Carb. Best way to mod the DR. Awesome performance, no popping and great to deal with.

The 3 hole busa can is actually much easier to get a mid pipe made for at an exhaust shop as it is a standard fitting. Not interchangeable with the gsxr one but in really happy with mine

Just scored an 01 gsxr muffler with mid-pipe on flebay for $45! Hell yea i been waiting for a deal like that.

I just posted up my 35F0x can install at the exhaust index thread. The '01 can you found uses the same Keintech kit as the 35F0x that I snagged.

Waiting now on a break in the weather to fire it up and take a ride.

That's a heckuva a deal! The 40 is the Holy Grail, but the 24 and 35 are vastly underrated... They are all great performers on the mighty DR

For one thing, the 03-04 (18G1) GSXR 1K muffler has a larger diameter than the 40F0 and 35F0 cans. And cutting it down is no small task, either. So while there are still workable mufflers to be found there's really no need to chop anything.

BTW, I rode my DR650 with the 40F0 can this afternoon, which may be the last ride before I put it up for the Winter. That bike is a hoot to ride with the Gixxer can and carb/airbox mods.

i got the K&N open box with jet kit at 160, should i need to go to 165 with pipe?

I haven't seen them yet, but have heard from Jesse that he has devised a way to use the titanium 18g1; I would like to see it before passing judgement, but if Jesse says it works... I found a few locally; very light but larger.
