doesn't look too messed about with.
Nice find. Laverdamania.net has lots of useful resources on these things (paint codes, bearing numbers etc) & also has a registry of them |

Well done! Looks like it needs a good detailing and some aluminium polish, but looks all there. It appears it has the thin web cast wheels, check for hairline cracks where they meet the rim edge. Normally not a huge issue, but not sure of the road quality of your roads locally.

I'd say that's original paint alright, certainly a nice original looking example. I'd be very tempted to just get it going and checked out mechanically and ride it as it is. Patina and originality can't be bought and they're only original once. Good luck with it, a great find. ![]() Wonder how it made it's way to the Phillipines??!!

Just a shot in the dark here. Does anyone remember a mid 80's Cycle, or Cycle World magazine fictional tale of the Laverda racing down a mountain against a Kawasaki KZ1000 Eddie Lawson Replica piloted by the devil? The race was to win the soul of the Kawasaki's owner.
Hint, the Laverda wins, but blows it's bottom end at the finish, killing the victors beloved bike. It's a silly sounding story, but it was very well written, and I was riveted at the time (also loved orange Laverda's) I forgot who wrote it, and what it is called. Any guesses???

i dont know anything about its prehistory. i only know its past since about '92. i'm the third owner since then. all i know is that it stood a long time pre 92 with a buggered charging system. and that it has only 12000 km on counter.... some proper elbowgrease and TLC should put it back to life (and a carb gasket set )

Latest Acquisiton
Hi all!
Here are some pics of my latest acquisition, a '78 Jarama (3CL) modded with some Jota parts: ![]() ![]() ![]() I picked is up from another fellow in Virginia, so this transaction should be pretty stratight-forward. He appartently is a HUGE Laverda buff, and hopefully down the road will be helpful as I run into issues. I have already been in touch with the lovely folks at Keihan in the UK, and they have a complete Jota 180 exhaust system in stock and ready to ship. I have even purchased a Minichamps 1:12 model of a Jota on eBay: More to follow!
