I'm only commuting these days, but I am prep'ing for a fly and ride to North Carolina in a couple of weeks to pick up the new to me 2012 BMW R1200 GSA. I am purchasing it used from another inmate with less than 3k on the odometer.

On the way back, I plan to ride down to Jacksonville, FL and stay overnight. Then, get up the next day and set out on an iron butt ride, the CC50, coast to coast in less than 50 hours. I plan to ride from Jacksonville, FL to San Diego, CA in less than 50 hours. I have completed a SS1K earlier this year and am ready to try the next long distance ride.

I'll have photos and a ride report to post for this ride soon.

Also, I have set aside 20 days late this spring for a round trip ride to the arctic circle in Alaska, from San Clemente. I'm planning to do this solo, but if there are any other So Cal riders who want to make this ride, let me know...

The only "riding" I'm doing is hauling the F650 around in my truck from the dealer to the DMV to the CHP back to the dealer and the DMV.........trying to clear a 2 year old salvage title. High hopes for the next month though.

I have to open up the XRR. it is in need of valve joband carb cleaning, oil change and maybe other top end parts...

Auto Decomp!!!! swap the cam and it will go away.... and so will I. I just got the call, i'm moving to Reno in the next month, maybe just after new years.

wow - learn those trails and give us a shout - I know there are some good ones up there. I bought a klr from an imate up there that also had a 950SE.
