Also you missed that newly minted independent powerhouse - Idaho.

Interesting to see what Boise State does. The big "AQ" move has turned out to be more of a lateral shuffle only two time zones away. Lots of rumors and grumbling out here.

Can't wait for that Temple game!
What's really sad for the Big East is that all their good basketball schools just left to form a new conference.

uconn, cincinnati, boise state, south florida, temple, sdst, memphis, central florida, houston, smu, tulane, eastern carolina

that's 22 teams. Instead of poaching, scrambling into the life boats, throwing kids overboard, combine. Do the mega conference that confusa and mtnwest danced around--- except this would be better positioned than the confusa/mtnwest combo pack with more top/mid football teams.

Divisions:
west--
1. Hawaii
2. Boise st
3. Fresno st
4. San jose st
5. Sdst
6. Nevada

mountain:
1. Utah st
2. Wyoming

central:
1. Smu
2. Houston

6. Byu

east:
1. Uconn
2. Temple
3. South florida
4. Central florida
5. East carolina
6. Navy

makes for the whole damn country, lot's of tv markets, could be good.
could add byu and ??? To make it an even 24. Four six team divisions.

Ooops missed navy add byu and you have it. (edit ii)

Won't shock me to see Tulane back in C-USA. I know Cinci/UConn have floated thought about reforming the BigE with a few "acquisitions" from the MWC. As you know I'm a MWC backer, and even though they mentioned UNM going to their new "AllAmerica" conference I don't like it.

UNM will probably never play in what are currently called the "BCS" Bowls. I just want to be able to go on Saturday and watch them play CSU, AFA, Wyo... Natural, long time rivals. If it comes down to watching them play Memphis, Cinci, Temple etc I'd just as soon stay home and watch semi-pro.

How in the world did these merit the Taiwan animated news treatment?

I've been there maybe 20 times and while many send the children to the USA for college, football isn't the reason why.

Touch of class

Gary Andersen reportedly calls every one of his Utah State players after taking Wisconsin job

Nice. This is refreshing after hearing about how most coaches handle this sort of thing.

Saban will go the way of Spurrier if he leaves for the NFL.

Chip Kelly, however, will succeed with the spread offense.
