The first couple years I Endurance Roadraced (1986 - 1987) we did Lemans starts. I was the smallest on our team and the fastest runner so I always did our starts. It was quite fun but could be pretty hairy as we had 65 bike grids. One of your team mates would hold the bike by the tail section and bike would have key on and already in first gear so when swinging leg over bike you would be pulling in clutch and hitting start button at same time and you were on your way. Usualy quite a rush. Then after some bad accidents we went to regular standing starts.
