Pitted camshaft replacement qstn

Hi people - for the 2nd time, my 04 950 adventure has pitting on 2 of its camshaft lobes. I recall reading that 990 superduke camshafts are a straight swap and have a harder surface - is this correct? Is the profile the same? Also, are the later model 950/990 ADV camshafts more resistant to pitting? Any recommendations on the cheapest place to buy new camshafts? The cost here in Oz would be horrendous!

Many Thanks

Nick (wantok)

I think i've got some good as new 950 cams left over still... cant tell you about SD cam durability, but they hold up fine on my bike.
