Keep at it

Just keep at it and do it bit by bit. When you get sick of it put it down for a few weeks and start again when you feel like it.

I bought a 65cc Moto Guzzi Cardellino from 1953, 18 months ago. This is my first restoration and I know nothing about mechanics. Parts are impossible to find and everything was in Italian. I did everything wrong and my next restoration will be so much easier because I learnt so many things.

Like me, you will find out that you will not have saved any money but you will have learnt a lot and will have so much pride in what you achieve.

Good luck with the project. If I can do it anyone can. For those who do not know "Restoration" is just another word for cleaning.

This was my Cardellino before:

and after:

Welcome back JS! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I find working on bikes relaxes me......as long as I don't set any deadlines.

Glad to see you back JS. Remember that your first responsibility right now is taking care of yourself. Take enough time to enjoy life as you go. I sure you will get your bike going eventually, at least now if we see you are not at it, we will know why and understand. Good luck with your doc.

Nothing painted, and the progress is REALLY slow, but I will post what I have done so far! Thank you for being my lovely audience!

Hello LikeItLoud, I've seen your project and I admire it for what motorcycles are all about: To serve man and his sense of adventure. The simple things are the best!

Everything you said is true, First, I thought that by summer time I would have finished, but that didn't happen.

In June I took the semester exams in my university. It almost lasted one month.

Unfortunately, it didn't go well and I took it very hard.

July and August, I was working my arse off, lots of anxiety and a lot of work, tested my wits and strained them a good deal.

On September, we still had a lot of work, so when I asked my boss for some time off, so I could read for my exams in mid-September he just laughed.

All this tense wasn't good on my nerves, and now, I suffer from constant vertigo, which is really annoying and sometimes a little dangerous.

I've been to three different doctors so far, and the last one is convinced that my problem was caused from the long anxiety period.

I'm waiting for my appointment with the ct scan to set the things straight, and as I think of the possibility of something being wrong inside my brain, this adds up to the case!

I've got to relax, but I'm trying very hard to relax, so the opposite occurs

arrrgggh--------------------->>>>> There! I popped a smile!

Yeah, tell me about it!

True! Sorry about that...

Well, ossifer ED, I'm not an SRX addict, look at me, I'm walking on a straight line...!

Ohhh, It's good to be back among friends...
Well, just get better, finsh your SRX 400, And go for a ride!!! School is not easy with work add in to the mix. Hope your heath is better!!
