While the Garabedian house on Pelham Parkway is certainly overdone, I'm not sure it's worth the trip to Da Bronx just to see it. There's a couple of houses along Pelham with nice lights, but nothing on the scale of the Garabedian home.

finance/econ which makes me the new daylabors of the financial age. picking up my wrenching skills doing the books at a vintage motorcycle shop in brooklyn and crappy part time IT work. really just delaying life and saving to travel.

If you've got a vehicle with a hitch, u-haul rents a motorcycle trailer for $19 per day.

FYI folks just to add to the list, the area of Bay Ridge south of Owl's Head Park is fairly well-lit. I wouldn't say there were any houses there that were over the top but the neighborhood is certainly festive in terms of the number of homes that had nice lighting up, and is worth a few minutes of criss-crossing. Sadly, Howard Beach is pretty much done. Christmas lights there have been declining over the last few years and recovering from the Hurricane Sandy seems to have sapped most of what few folks were left who might have still been interested in lighting up their homes for the holidays. If anyone else has anything to add, feel free. One more day to go!

Works engineering. Stop by and say hi to the Asian kid behind the counter.
@wiseblood: I don't have a car either, but next time Ill go that route and borrow a car that has a hitch. I dread hauling a bike up a wooden plank

Find a good hill and point the van or pick-up downhill. Drive its front wheels up onto a curb and/or planks to level the vehicle. Net effect is to reduce the elevation of the ramp and improve ground clearance at the top of the ramp. Get one friend or neighbor to help get the bike up the ramp, or hijack a passer-by. Cover the front brake so the bike can't roll backward.

Is that the place down the block from Genuine Motorworks? This summer I went to the cyclesource show/party at GM and had a blast. GREAT custom bikes there. I'm almost never in williamsburg but if I happen to be around I'll look you up man.
