Mandy seems to have fairly strong opinions as to whether I should be riding over the next couple of weeks. Not sure what might have set that off...
. So I guess I'll be driving to Cemetery Circuit then. And probably can't commit to riding at the Manfield open day early Jan....

its taken a little dig in the ribs from a klr for Mandy to suddenly realize that you can't be trusted to act in a mature and sensible manner when on two wheels??? I suspect she's the one who has been sabotaging gus all this time so that you spend more time fixing than riding...

Actually she has mentioned that she won't be passing the phone across when Andy Mac calls. She has decided that he is trouble, pointing out the Maungtooks ride, where I arrived home at 10.30, & the more recent Odlins Rd ride...
. None of that was my fault of course...

Just caught up with this, good to see you are recovering and the bike's not totaled.
I would blame Mark for this.... him and that KLR are a couple of dangerous bastards, keep well clear of them in future. Good news about the house painting though, can you get someone to do that on ACC?

Given my Spidi Jacket has just celebrated its 15th Birthday, time to retire it I think...The Armour was well past its use by date
Mandy bought me a new RST Adventure Pro Series Jacket to replace it. That discussion goes easier if you've recently been injured. Bought for $399 from TSS Red Baron, after a minor haggle (listed at $429) - the $399 price applies at Moto-One & NWA websites, so...Nationwide is only bringing in the Gunmetal Jacket & Pants, so colour selection is limited unless you want to import. I've actually got this mainly for the venting, rather than winter riding comfort... Didn't get the pants - they didn't have my size. ![]() I actually did a lot of research prior to committing to this. From my perspective, this is a cheaper version of the Rev'it Sand Jacket, with a few minor tweaks. I also looked at the Klim Traverse & Latitude Jackets, but the costs of importing these took them outside of my ideal price range. Here's the RST YouTube blurb I'll do a further write up once I have had a chance to ride with it..

That's a nice looking jacket. Will you be able to zip it to your pants? I don't feel comfortable unless pants and jacket are connected.

Thanks. Zipped together jacket & pants isn't something I have ever worried about. The zip pitch is completely different between the Jacket & current tired (but soon to the replaced) Neo leather pants, so no, they won't zip together.

The jacket keeps my pants up, that's important to me.
