Reno George, take 178 east out of Bakersfield to 155 north to Keyseville to Keysville Road (on the left). The staging area for many of these trails is right there, just a couple miles off Highway 178 (about an hour from Bakersfield.

Thanks for the info. I have ridden by the Keyesville Rd many times on my street bike. I like make a loop down the west side of the Sierra, across through Kennedy Meadows and back 395. But, I will have to break out the KTM 300 and hit this trail next time I am down. I also like some of the single track on the east side of Kelso Valley.
