Eek They almost nuked NJ in the 60's

Well, it was considered as a way to flatten either Bearfort or Bowling Green mountain so they could have an appropriate runway for the area's 4th jetport.

"According to an article in The New York Times on Oct. 29, 1964, the company said it had explored the nuclear idea fully but had dropped it on the grounds that it was impractical and would cause too many adverse side effects"

Ya think ?

I have a "new" (as of last year) trail that goes right along the ridge of Bearfort Mountain. It's really easy. And smooth to.
Hopefully I'll be riding it soon!

Chris

Took the boy for his one month check at the dr's today. Check out the motorcycle skully he has on. Also, he has his little orange and gray fleece for the cold weather. It caught my eye one day, in the store, and thought that it matched my KTM perfectly( not that it is running right now )

Heads up

Snow stuck here in Green (Allamuchy, Hackettown area) and north. So the roads are in nasty shape right now littered with grit.

Commander Barlow, it probably wont matter with your bikes, but the rest of you with nice bikes, stay south of here for now, roads are shitty,...... I mean gritty..........

The secret to winter riding is to wait till it rains and clears the salt, or the temperature is above 35 degrees, so that wet is wet, not black ice. As far as "grit" is concerned, just watch for "alternate" traction in the corners. Staying in the tire tracks usually is the ticket.

Yes, the salt can hurt the pretty bikes. That's why everyone should have a "beater" like that one you have with the stickers!

p.s., drove up to Blue Mountain this morning, and the roads were fine!

Heading to the bar to finished the job I began at dinner! New year's in a half hour here. Happy New Years boys. Be safe.
Ireland is a motorcycles parities for folks like us. The roads are largely amazing. Weather to taste. But as I have noticed, if you don't like it, wait five minutes. It will change.
