Nowhere near such stunning scenery - but here's a shot of my DR350 from a ride through the Atchafalaya basin yesterday:

Flat tire caused by half a rusty chainsaw file. Fortunately I was carrying tools, a spare tube and a pump. Those 606's are stiff and it put up quite a fight.

Howdy everybody,

Just posting my new to me 1990 dr250. I picked it up a couple weeks ago off Craigslist, $600 with clear title, non-running, been in storage since late 90's, 2300 original miles

I cleaned carb and replaced the oring that the float needle seats against, put new gas in the tank and she runs! In first round of parts she got a new plug, new air filter, and a new battery. Just ordered all the jets and seals for the carb, along with an oil filter and the brackets for front turn signals. Going to rebuild carb and change oil, then I just need to buy turn signals and register it.

After that, I'm going to look for street tires, larger plastic tank, re-gear it for better street use, and probably trim that wing of a front fender...

I have your bike's twin (if the plastic was not on the floor). Mine has been sitting for way too long as well, however mine will not crank. Where did you go to get the o-ring seat for the float needle and carb rebuild kit?

Thanks,
Kevin

I wasn't able to source a whole carb rebuild kit, on account of Mikuni pretty much disowned this redheaded stepchild of a carb. I bought all the jets and bowl seal from cyclepartsnation. The needle/main jet and the low speed jet they sent me were each 2.5 smaller than what was in there, so I'm going to put them in just for gits and shiggles. The 2 air jets appear to be the same size, but one of mine is all boogered up so I'm working on extracting that one. Cyclepartsnation also had a float needle kit for like $40 or something, but I already replaced the oring that was in there with a same sized one I had floating around in some of my spare parts, so I just bought the needle for $20 off eBay.
