Got in last night - will look around today for a suitable place to have dinner. The hostel I'm at has a large dining area, so might be a possibility (they also have a bar, although outside alcohol is forbidden).

I'll hopefully be in Ushuaia for Xmas, most likely will be camping although not sure yet. Been in Punta Arenas for the last week, dealing with a total clusterfuck in getting a new rear tire.

Good luck with the tire - I would have thought PA would be ok to buy from....

So did I!!! But since I'm not on a big GS it wasn't so easy. After convincing the motoaventura guys that they actually did have what I needed in Osorno, it all worked out.

What kind of weather can I expect in the next month in Ushuaia? Feb. is supposedly the windiest month. Is that true???

The windiest month is november/december.
You should expect a cool weather, let's say... 10○c ~14○c. The wind is always with you but if you travel as soon as the sun comes up until 11/12am, it will make the trip more enjoyable.

I live 600km north from ushuaia, so if there is something i can help you with, let me knowí
