These will wind up being called wetheads or something. Those of us of a certain age probably recall "The wethead is dead" advertising from the early 70s.

I still have a can of The Dry Look if you'd like to borrow it.

Whew dodged a bullet there, I thought he had got himself a roundel rocket. Have been enjoying the peace and quiet and lurking here for some time now. Oh well all good things could come to an end.

Oh yeah, I hope you had a good Christmas and have a happy New Year Fluggy.

Well, it sounds fun, but then so did a few other things that years later cause me a good deal of discomfort.

I think my 1150 is my last BMW. I was pretty sure of it when I bought it 8 years ago and at the rate I'm not wearing it out these days along with the rate my employment options are diminishing KLR's look too expensive.

I'm just wondering what overly complex and expensive, dealer service only item they have added.

*shrug*

I just bought a $40 tool from Beemer Boneyard, which will let me bleed the brakes on my R12RT. I can do everything else, using a pile of tools I've had since I started working on airheads 30 years ago.

Well, I'm a big roundel fan, but that new waterboxer sounds like amplified dysentery. Truth be told, most boxers don't sound that great, but the great is in the riding. Big fan of the 1200 motor.

For sound, I like V-twins (MG from Italy or HD from the good ol' US of A).

Nothing is well with him. If you're lucky, you won't be able to find the horrible "shark" photo.

He's some kind of long haired degenerate.

dude! how's it going? didn't see you at Rhinebeck this year. Come on down and see the museum we're going to get the 1915 Iver Johnson running and ride it in the Wall of Death.

Not.

Still got your GS? I still miss mine, those pinstripes were the shizzle. Still got my red seats. You should have come down for the Cannonball!

I think the OP was not so much referring to the actual "sound" but was more intrigued by the bikes seemingly very impressive ability to rev coupled with a belief that those revs did seem to indicate the bikes ability to do a wicked burn out.
